When Molly and I decided to get married, we knew we wanted a couple things. First, we wanted it small. Both of us never wanted a big wedding (in fact, it took me until meeting Molly to even want to get married) and the thought of spending a considerable amount of money for one day was unappealing to us. Second, we wanted to shop as local as we could. Our friend Molly Gaeckle (Northerly Flora) would do the flowers, Tara Sloane would take the photos, Kari Krolikowski would take care of the tunes and Tutti Fruitti (my hometown farm-to-table restaurant) would take care of the food. It was only natural that we started asking around about local jewelers for our wedding rings.
Emily Johnson - aka EC Design - was recommended to us by our friend Katie who also works in the Northrup King Building where her studio resides. It didn’t take Molly long to find a ring she loved. A cloudy sapphire stone with a rose gold band. I decided to go along with the ‘hammered metal’ look and get a darker palladium.
Not traditional - just like us.
We highly recommend Emily. She was kind, gave great advice and made us some awesome rings.
